Is this a subscription?

No. Pro is a one-time purchase of $49 — an introductory price. You get free updates and the license never expires.

Do I need an account or internet to use it?

No account, ever. You need the internet once, to activate a Mac (it registers the device against your license); after that Pro runs offline indefinitely — no need to reconnect.

Can I use Pro on more than one Mac?

One Mac at a time per license — but you can move it as often as you like, and moving takes seconds: on the Mac you're leaving, Settings → Deactivate frees the slot; paste the same key on the new Mac to activate it. Lost or sold that Mac, or it won't run the app? Use our contact page and give us your purchase address, and we'll free the slot for you. If you need Pro running on two Macs at once, buy a second license.

What if I upgrade in the middle of recording?

Activation applies instantly: the rolling window lifts and the very same session keeps everything from that moment on. Nothing is interrupted.

What happens to my recordings if I deactivate?

Nothing. Your files are ordinary WAV/M4A files and are never touched, hidden, or re-encoded by licensing changes.
